About us
The Coordination Association in Roslagen
What is a Coordination Association?
In Sweden, the responsibility for rehabilitation is divided between several different sectors of government. While each sector has their own field of assignment there is still need for cooperation between them to provide well-functioning rehabilitation efforts for our citizens. For the vast majority of citizens, the system works as intended but for some, there is a need for a more in-depth, coordinated rehabilitation.
After a parliamentary decision in 2003 it became possible to establish legally independent coordination associations who could finance and develop this kind of cooperation between authorities.
What is it we do?
The Coordination Association Roslagen was founded on the 7th of may 2014 and provides a common arena where the different sectors and healthcare services can work together with a shared responsibility to provide rehabilitation based on the needs of the individual as well as local conditions.
Our common goal is to create better conditions for those who need coordinated support and help them improve their ability to provide for themselves through gainful employment.
Owners and members
The Association is mutually owned and financed by the Employment Service office, the Regional Social Insurance office, the County council and the Municipalities: Dandery, Norrtälje, Täby, Vallentuna, Vaxholm and Österaker.
These different authorities contribute to the operation of the Association and they all take part in the different steering groups of our rehabilitation efforts.
We finance coordinated rehabilitation efforts for those who need the support from several different sectors at the same time.
We also help support cooperation between authorities and municipalities.
